(Annika with Zoe in the picture)
It's been such a long time since I blogged. I guess I've gotten a bit busy with four children to care for! ;-) Christopher is now 11 years old. We just celebrated Annika's 9th birthday. Lilly is 5 years old, and Zoe, our youngest, is 4 months old.

She is such a wonderful little baby! She is soooo beautiful and definitely reminds me of my other children when they were babies. She likes to suck on her fingers, and it's so cute when she tries to nurse and also sticks one of her fingers into her mouth at the same time.

We are leaving for Germany in two days. I still have a lot of packing to do. I'll be busy tomorrow meeting a couple of friends also.

I stopped homeschooling a couple of weeks ago to give us all a bit of a break. We really needed it, since I've been homeschooling at a steady pace since Zoe was born (July 1st).
I'm off to bed now.

February 14, 2008

Today is Valentine's Day! I haven't blogged in a really long time.
We are back from Germany. We had a lot of fun on our trip, as usual. Christopher and Annika had more riding lessons with Susanne Moser. Christopher rode a beauitful mare named Luna, and Annika rode an equally beautiful mare named Sugar. Both kids had their very first riding lessons last year on Sugar.
I had a really good time in Beijing with my brother and father. I climbed the Great Wall, visited the Temple of Heaven, the "Bird's Nest" (new Olympic stadium), the Forbidden City, Tiannanmen Square, and countless markets.
During this time, my mother and grandmother looked after the children in Germany. My mother also used this time to enroll them in German public schools, which turned out to be a good experience for them. Still, I am glad that we are homeschooling.
We are back in Arizona and are definitely back in our typical routine. There is one thing, though, that is new with us. We are expecting another baby in mid-July! This is very exciting for us.
Well, this concludes my post for the day, as we have to be ready for Aikido lessons later today.
